Cafe World Gets Asian Decor and Dishes

With Valentine's day only eleven days away, I figured that Zynga would be adding decorations and dishes in anticipation of the day of love and romance. However, when I logged in, I see that they have released a new Asian theme including decorations and two new dishes added to the recipe book.

White Radish Cake

Cost: 300 coins
Total Coins Earned: 2010
Net Profit: 1695
Total Cafe Points: 113  (15 for prep, 97 for serving, 1 for cleanup)
Total Cafe Points/ hour: 4.71
Total Coins/ hour: 63.96
Ready In: 1 Day

Chinese Candy Box

Cost: 6000 coins
Total Coins Earned: 18,000
Net Profit: 11985
Total Cafe Points: 400
Total Cafe Points/hour: 8.33
Total Coins/hour: 249.7
Ready In: 48 hours

I shouldn't have to tell you but the White Radish Cake is a waste of time cooking. The Chinese Candy Box is better, but still rather disappointing considering the total cafe points and cp/h are very low for such a high level dish. Coins per hour is pretty good but the cafe points could be much better.

Tips and thoughts  -  The first two medals are fairly easy to unlock. For me, I had almost three hundred old floor tiles that I still had and sold to unlock two medals. If you sold all of yours before you can simply buy a bunch of the cheap floor tiles and resell them making it pretty easy to unlock at least the first two medals.

The Fuming Foreperson medals are also fairly easy to unlock. Just go in and fire all of your friends, hire them back, and sell them again. It took me about 10 minutes to unlock the first three medals and gain 800 cafe points.

The Provision Payer medals will be more difficult to unlock. If you powerlevel (buy a dish, prep it, and delete it to start over) then it will be faster to unlock than just cooking normally. Still yet, it will take some time to unlock all the medals in this category.

Banknote Banker medals are the only medals that I will probably never unlock. I have seen many posts about people saying that they would never spend real money for animated objects and I will have to agree with them. However, there are some people that do buy cafe cash so these medals shouldn't be that difficult for them to unlock.

Expect to see some Valentine decorations and dishes to start showing up in the game. I would expect them to start introducing new Valentine items within the next couple of days.

Other than that, that's about it for now. If you have a medal unlocked that I don't have listed (??) then feel free to leave a comment with the info or send me an email via the feedback form (feedback button on the lower left side of the screen.)

Although they are better than the last two dishes that were added, they are still nothing to get overly excited about. I do like the fact that Bacon and Eggs are 9 hours to cook.

Final Thoughts

Although I do like sports, I am really not feeling the sports decorations in Cafe World. The majority of them you have to have cafe world cash to purchase and I am not willing to spend real money to buy animated objects for this game. That's just me though, you guys tell me what you think about the sports decorations and whether you spend real money for decorations...

Fish n Chips and Hotdog and Garlic Fries Added To Recipe Book

Fish n Chips

Cost: 1650
Total Coins Earned: 1980
Total Net Profit: 315 coins
Total Cafe Points: 35 ( 12 for prep, 22 for serving, 1 for cleanup)
Total Cafe Points per hour:  17.5 cafe points per hour
Total Coins per hour: 157.5 coins per hour
Ready In: 2 hours

Hotdog and Garlic Fries

Cost: 114 coins
Total Coins Earned: 150 coins
Total Net Profit: 21 coins
Total Cafe Points: 7 (3 for prep, 3 for serving, 1 for cleanup)
Total Cafe Points per hour: 84 cafe points per hour
Total Coins per hour: 252 coins per hour
Ready in: 5 minutes

It is always exciting to see new recipes added to the recipe book in Cafe World. However, these two dishes are really nothing to get excited about at all. I figured that the Hotdog and Garlic Fries would provide even more cafe points per hour than the Bacon Cheeseburgers but I was wrong. With the added cost and the same cafe points, it is still more economical to make the Bacon Cheeseburgers. I guess we will have to wait to see what they add next to the recipe book. If they can't do any better than this though, they shouldn't even bother.
